Born in NYC into a family of performing artists, Abigail Simon began to dance at age three. Just 13 years later she’s a professional with one of the world’s top companies, American Ballet Theatre (ABT).
Her early ballet studies began at Ballet Hispanico and the West Side Academy of Ballet in Santa Monica. She then attended the School of American Ballet (SAB) in New York. She has also attended summer programs in Kaatsbaan and Chautaqua, as well as the Royal Ballet in London and the Joffrey Summer Program in New York.
After four years in NYC dancing with ABT, Abigail relocated to The Joffrey Ballet in Chicago in 2006. After a beautiful seven year career at Joffrey, including numerous principal roles and international tours, she left the company in the spring of 2013 to start her most exciting chapter yet.
Abigail can now be found dancing all over the country as a Principal Guest Artist, and modeling in international magazines. With partnerships forming with some of the ballet world’s top companies, clothing manufacturers, photographers and choreographers, the sky’s the limit for what this young yet experienced dancer has ahead of her.
