Gia al Qamar
Classically trained in ballet and jazz since the age of 3, Gia al Qamar returned to her dance 'roots' after graduating from Rutgers University with BA in Theater Arts. Her heritage and dance background made her affinity for Middle Eastern Dance flourish and she soon became the 'go to' dancer for authentic Egyptian zeffas with shamedan, veil dancing sword and tray balancing dances, performances with finger cymbals, as well as Turkish, Moroccan and folkloric dances of the Middle East. As a teacher, she is coveted by beginners through rising star professionals for her affable and authentic teaching methods. She continues to perform and teach in Northern NJ and the NY Metro area.
