Malgorzata was born in Gliwice, Poland and attended the National Ballet School in Bytom. Upon graduation she joined Malaika Kusumi Ballet Theatre Frankfurt then the Royal Danish Ballet, where she performed full length ballet productions as well as works by George Balanchine, John Neumeier and Maurice Bejart. From 2000 till 2002 she worked with Peter Schaufuss and Singapore Dance Theater, before joining Gothenburg Ballet. In Sweden Malgorzata performed choreography by Nacho Duato, Meryl Tankard, Javier de Frutos and Nicolo Fonte among others. Between 2006 and January 2014 she was a member of Rambert, where she created many roles, including the main duet in Scribbilings by Doug Varone, Carnival of the Animals by Sue Davis, Tread Softly by Henri Oguike and Awakenings by Aletta Collins. She has also danced choreography by Christopher Bruce, Merce Cunningham and Mark Baldwin. Malgorzata made guest appearances with Wayne McGregor/Random Dance Company at the Brighton Festival and alongside the Ballet Boyz in Christopher Wheeldon’s Mesmerics.
Malgorzata started choreographing in 2005. Her work has been shown in Gothenburg, Sweden, at The Place Theatre and the Royal Opera House Linbury Studio in London and in Santander, Spain. She is a co-director of New Movement Collective and her work has been featured as part of the collaboration between the group and the Architectural Association Interprofessional Studio performances in Madrid, Cologne and London (Exquisite Corps, Angles of Incidents).
She frequently teaches workshops, contemporary and ballet classes for Rambert’s Learning and Participation Program. She is a guest teacher at Rambert School, Greenwich Dance Agency and at The Place Theatre in London. In 2009 Malgorzata was a member of teaching staff and jury at the International Dance Seminar in Brasilia, Brasil.
Malgorzata is currently working with New Movement Collective www.newmovement.org.uk as a co-director, producer, co-choreographer and dancer. NMC was nominated in the Best Independent Company category in the 2013 Dance Critics Circle Awards and their site responsive production NEST was named as one of the "The Best Dance Shows of 2013" by Timeout magazine and among the "Top 10 dance shows of 2013" by the Evening Standard. NMC has recently become Rambert associate company in their new Southbank home.
Performing with Royal Danish Ballet at the Opera Palais Garnier - such an iconic venue! Nominations for the Spotlight Award in 2008 and an Outstanding Performance in 2009 British Critics’ Circle Awards. Producing and co-choreographing Casting Traces and NEST, two independent, Arts Council England supported NMC productions.
