Tate McRae

BIOGRAPHY

Tate Rosner McRae is a ten-year-old dancer from Calgary, Canada. Her first dance lesson was as a three-year-old in Oman with a strict Russian ballet teacher. Unfortunately, Tate was more interested in the social aspect than the dance! Her formal training began in Calgary at age 6 where she studied ballet, jazz, tap and musical theatre at a local studio. Tate was eight years old when she competed with her first solo. She made the Top 10 at The Dance Awards in NYC and got to dance beside many of her idols in the convention. After that she was hooked!

She began training privately with various coaches, including her mother, Tanja Rosner, and won Mini Best Dancer 2013 at The Dance Awards in NYC. She has spent the past year training with the School of Alberta Ballet in the Professional Division, working with her coach Olya Khabarova, as well as touring across North America with the faculty of NUVO and JUMP. Tate has had an incredible year assisting and learning from idols like Stacey Tookey, Kim Mcswain, Travis Wall, Jason Parsons, Teddy Forance, Mark Meismer, Kenny Wormald, Nick Lazzarini, Will Oftis, Katy Spreadbury, Denise Wall, Chebar Williams, Melanie Moore, and more. She recently joined the 2014 Dancerpalooza Beat Squad.

When she isn’t dancing, Tate is probably singing at the top of her lungs. Her dream is to one day perform on Broadway!
