Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to Lincoln Center
Only a few weeks after finishing its 2014 North American Tour to 23 cities, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will return to Lincoln Center in New York with four different programs.
The two-week, 15-performance engagement at the David H. Koch Theater will run June 11–22. It will include a world premiere work by Robert Moses, a first-time collaboration with the company.
The season will also present new productions of Hans van Manen’s Polish Pieces and David Parsons’ signature work Caught, along with the company premiere of Asadata Dafora’s groundbreaking 1932 solo Awassa Astrige/Ostrich.
Furthermore, Ailey’s acclaimed dancers will present encore performances of 2013-14 season premieres, including Wayne McGregor’s Chroma and Aszure Barton’s LIFT.
