Utah-based Ballet West will celebrate its 50th anniversary with an extraordinary year of first-time productions and long-time favorites.

The company’s 2013-14 season includes six exciting world premieres, a Utah premiere, a major revival, and outstanding productions that honor Ballet West’s rich legacy. It all kicks off in November with Ballet West Founder Willam Christensen’s colorful and dramatic The Firebird.

Other season highlights will include Adam Sklute’s spellbinding production of The Sleeping Beauty in time for Valentine’s Day and Resident Choreographer Nicolo Fonte’s world premiere The Rite of Spring.
