Ballett Zürich, Switzerland’s largest professional ballet company, will premiere a new ballet version of Anna Karenina this October as it opens its 2014-15 season.

Ballett Zürich, which is led by Artistic Director Christian Spuck, will present its 36 dancers in a ballet based off a novel by Leo Tolstoy.

Spuck will choreograph the new full-length work to symphonic and chamber music by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Witold Lutoslawski.
