Compagnie Käfig comes to the Kennedy Center
Compagnie Käfig makes its Kennedy Center debut in Washington D.C. on February 28-March 1, 2014 with Artistic Director Mourad Merzouki's works Correria and Agwa.
The all-male Brazilian cast performs the Frenchman’s choreography, which is influenced by hip-hop, bossa nova and capoeira. Showcasing an intriguing blend of international styles that includes both circus elements and a bit of performance art, the acrobatic dancers bring humor, exciting talent and loads of energy to the stage.
On February 28, Explore the Arts will also offer a free post-performance discussion with a moderator and members of the company.
